And PLEASE....spay and neuter your pets. Thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens are born every year. It is the responsible pet owner who keeps unwanted litters from happening. This group of orphans were very lucky.

Welcome to Sallygirl's Puppy page. Puppies are coming! This page will document her pregnancy and her puppies growth until they are old enough to go to new homes.

First, let me tell you a little about Sallygirl. She's a two year old mixed-breed, we think labrador and not sure what else. She used to live next door. I have a puppy (though he's not really a puppy anymore) from her previous litter. When my neighbors moved out, she was left behind. Animal control came for her, and I told them she was mine. I took her over to my yard and set her up. A few days later, I saw her owners who said they were staying in a hotel waiting for their house to ready. I offered to hang on to her until then. They gave me money for dog food, and promised to come every day. And they did...for a while. Then one day they came and said someone else was going to watch her for them. The next day, Sallygirl was back in my yard, dragging a broken lead. A relative of the owners came by, explained what happened and took her back. A few days later, she was back in my yard again. We left a note on the relative's door, letting them know where Sally was, and set her up again in the yard.

That was before Thanksgving, 2005. No one has come for her. No phone calls, no note on the door...nothing. A few weeks after she had been back, we noticed her swelling belly.

So now our Sallygirl is going to be a momma again! And this time, I'm going to be with her every step of the way. And so can you, dear readers!
